Chocolate Martini

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, like many of us, BostoNite contributor Rachel Kossman has chocolate on her mind! In her latest feature, she shares her picks for great Boston-area events, stores and restaurants to make your sweet tooth happy – check out this excerpt featuring your favorite South End restaurant!

If going out for drinks is more your thing, Copley Square’s City Table has concocted a martini for those with a sweet tooth. Their ‘Willy Wonka’ is made with chocolate vodka, Godiva white & dark, and dark creme de cacao. Of course they aren’t the only ones with cocoa on their cocktail menu — 28 Degrees serves a chocolate raspberry truffle drink made with godiva white chocolate, vanilla vodka and Chambord liqueur, as well as a chocolate espresso martini. And don’t forget the delicious hot toddies at Finale!

28 Degrees of Classic Style

From the Owner

December 29, 2011 – 10:00 am

Happy Holidays from 28 Degrees Owner and In Classic Style Founder Carl Christian
End of Year Thoughts by Carl Christian

In this ever-changing world, complete with its forced ups and downs, I try hard to maintain a certain sense of focus and continuity. During this past year, life dealt cards of joy and disappointment — while bringing new life for some of my dear friends, the unexpected deaths of cherished loved ones also hit home. The choice of how to respond is never crystal clear. As I experience these emotional roller coasters, both personal and professionally, I have the heady desire to move on in some semblance of organized and bold prevalence — in wondrous fashion; there is so much to look forward to in the coming year – and on that note, I will strive to take action.

Transitioning from 2011, the year of massive life alteration for me, to 2012, I look forward to experiencing the next chapter in my life. I hope to continue sharing the vibrancy of 28 Degrees, and, after In Classic Style Magazine’s terrific launch this past year, focus and passion will be my driving force going forward. My self-regulated crystal ball predicts newness of life — the increased ability to work remotely and spend more quality time with dear friends — and a continued curious love of new cultures and ideas. My passion is to share quality of life.

Wishing you a healthy and happy new year,
Carl
